This is your roadmap to becoming the best investor you can be. Ready? Let’s get started.

  1. First, you need a brokerage. I use Charles Schwab. You should consider opening TWO accounts: A Roth IRA and an Individual Account.

  2. You’ll need a High Yield Savings Account (HYSA). There are a lot of good ones. I like SOFI’s.

  3. You need a hub for researching stocks. I like a few. Seeking Alpha is great in a lot of ways (but their “analysts” suck). You might not need a premium account, but if you want to try it:

    a. Seeking Alpha

    b. Market Watch

    c. Google Finance

  4. Read a book, nerd. The first two, I read. The others, I didn’t read but have come highly recommended.

    a. Neatest Little Guide to Stock Market Investing

    b. How I Made $2,000,000 In The Stock Market (for swing trading)

    c. The Intelligent Investor

    d. The Richest Man in Babylon

  5. My free investing for beginners course

  6. An investing calculator. I live on this website.

  7. An app to help you budget.

  8. Finally, if you want to spend a few bucks, you can get lifetime access to my Research Vault for $25.

  9. These guides are all 100% free:
