Should You Quit Your 9-5?

Should You Quit Your 9-5?

Should You Quit your 9-5?

Financial Freedom means one thing: do the things you WANT to do, don’t do the things you DON’T wanna do. If I were an actor, gimme a few decent paying roles and you’d ONLY ever see me in shit I wanted to do.

Wanna work a job that brings you joy? Go for it! If you don’t think jobs should be the source of joy in your life, well then let me introduce you to my friend: Financial Freedom.

The last job I worked was in 2011. That was the last time I ever said, “yes, sir,” to one of my micromanaging asshole bosses. Where are they today? Still “working their way up the ladder,” and their dumb shit job. Do they love it? No. Do they need it? Absolutely.

They live beyond their means, they’re easily convinced to buy more things because advertisers know how to tap into their insecurities. I need an Audi! My job sucks! I deserve a nice commute! You know what you just did? You just ensured you’re gonna be working MORE. Good job, dumbass.

I never went to college. I wanted to be a pro wrestler. Well, that didn’t work out for me and I had no plan B. I didn’t wanna go to college just to go. So, I didn’t go. I got a job instead in a restaurant. I lived at home with my mom. I ate all of my meals in the restaurant (shhh don’t tell). I kept my costs extremely low. I walked to work. I saved as much money as I could. I worked double shifts.

But I knew I didn’t wanna do that shit forever. Long story short: I got into the stock market. Lost a lot of money listening to idiots who told me I’d make a ton of money day trading. But instead of saying the markets weren’t for me, I was determined to find a way to MAKE it work for me. I read ONE book on swing trading. The rest is history. 2011 was the last time I ever said, “Yes, sir.”

Today, I make about $1200 a week JUST from selling covered calls and cash secured puts. Is it risky? Of course. Are there pros and cons? Of course. If you do this, does it mean you don’t need to invest? Of course not. Investing ALWAYS comes first.

Should you quit your 9-5? Depends on your life and your lifestyle. It was easier for me because I started when I lived at home. I wasn’t married, had zero kids (still not married, still zero kids), and had minimal expenses and nobody depended on it. That made it work for me.

But if you WANT to learn how to build wealth and build wealth and invest for build wealth and invest for the long, or you want to learn how to trade stocks, OR you want to learn more about covered calls, I’ve got you. Interested in dividends? Gotchu. And the best part is, I don’t want your money.

So … should you actually quit your 9-5? Life is all about trade offs. I can afford to because nobody depends on me financially, I live below my means, and even though health insurance is STUPID expensive, the trade off isn’t worth it … to me. For you? Might be different …
